One of the things that the Buccaneers have been lacking over the last few years has been leadership from the quarterback position. There is no denying the talent that Winston possesses, but he has shown time and time again that he is more focused on himself than his team as a whole.

In the NFL, leadership is everything for a quarterback. Fitzpatrick may not be the most physically gifted quarterback in the league, but he knows how to get guys to play for him.

Throughout his career, Winston has made plenty of immature off the field mistakes. Those errors don’t help the chemistry between an offense and their quarterback.

Keeping Fitzpatrick on the field will guarantee that Tampa Bay will have leadership on offense.
