Buffalo Bills
What a year it was in Buffalo. They won double-digit games for the first time since 1999 and made the playoffs for the second time in three years. Most importantly, Josh Allen emerged as a franchise quarterback and Sean McDermott looks like he is going to be the head coach for awhile.
Now the Bills just need to get Allen a deep receiving core. The Bills addressed their need at wide receiver last offseason. They added John Brown and Cole Beasley. While these were not “big name” signings, they were very effective.
Brown finished with 1,060 yards and both him and Beasley scored six touchdowns each. Despite their production, the Bills still ranked 23rd in the NFL scoring 19.3 points per game. This is an offense that could use one more big receiver.
Higgins could be that piece. The Bills’ defense is a good one. They used their first round pick in 2019 on Ed Oliver so this one should go to the offense. Drafting Higgins would allow Beasley to move into the slot and take some pressure off Brown. Also, this move would allow Allen to show off his big arm down the field with one of the top deep ball threats in the draft.
