The Packers Have To Focus On Shutting Down The Run

Mike Pettine’s defense had nightmare issues against opposing running backs. Whether those running backs were named Dalvin Cook or Raheem Mostert, the Packers could not stop the run when they needed to the most.

Standing in at 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds, McCoy is still a formidable force on the defensive line. Kenny Clark is one of the top current defensive tackles in football. Green Bay could pair two stars together on their line, which would give opposing offensive coordinators nightmares preparing for them.

The Packers cannot afford to overpay for a guy like McCoy, but the right contract could be reached between the two. Green Bay knows how close they are to winning another Super Bowl and stopping the run could be the missing piece to the puzzle defensively.
