Vikings: 3 players poised to break out for Minnesota in 2020

The Minnesota Vikings have been a strong, competitive team in the NFL for a few years now. A team that can make deep playoff runs, and a team that seems to always be in the mix for their division.

But since the Vikings became that strong, competitive team, nice playoff runs and the occasional NFC North crown has seemed to be the height of their potential. Despite a quality head coach in Mike Zimmer, despite a strong roster across the board, Minnesota has struggled to break through into the NFL’s elite. But even still, they’re a team that feels like they’re a handful of breakout stars away from fighting their way into the league’s elite.

Luckily for Minnesota, their roster is young and full of potential across the board. Even having lost some key pieces on both sides of the ball in wide receiver Stefon Diggs and defensive end Everson Griffen, the Vikings have players that are more than capable of filling their shoes — and might even do more with expanded roles in 2020.

So, let’s try to identify who those players might be. Here’s a list of three players that might be set to reach another level in 2020.
