Their Division Foes Have A Lot Of Questions To Answer

The offseason didn’t exactly go the way the Green Bay Packers wanted. The Packers didn’t do much to help Aaron Rodgers. They lost Bryan Bulaga and replaced him with Rick Wagner. That’s a wash.

The offensive line is still a major area of doubt, especially considering the fact that the San Francisco 49ers seemed to steamroll through it as they ended the Green Bay playoff bid. Rodgers needed additional weaponry in the offense and the best thing Ted Thompson got him was Devin Funchess. Funchess has since opted out of the 2020 season.

Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon may give them a good run game, yet the Packers are asking Rodgers to do a lot with mostly average talent around him. The Packers’ defense should be good, but they didn’t really improve offensively.

On top of that, the dynamic between Matt LaFluer and Rodgers could be a little dicey. Drafting Jordan Love in the first round didn’t help the team and it surely won’t help this relationship. An angry Rodgers may lead to him having a razor-focused performance in 2020, yet it is more likely to be counterproductive.

The Chicago Bears have two laughable options at quarterback. Mitch Trubisky and Nick Foles are in a quarterback competition and at least in the regular season, neither quarterback has a ton of success to brag about. The fact that this is a competition is problematic in the first place. The Bears were an average team last year and they look like an average team this year.

The Lions should be better than they were last year. Even with a healthy Matthew Stafford, however, it’s tough to have confidence in Matt Patricia.

The Vikings seem like a team going up while the rest of the division, to put it nicely, is in a very interesting place. The Vikings are a fairly complete team with a strong coaching staff. They have answers where the rest of the division has questions.
