Third Quarter of Season

Week 10: at Chicago Bears

This could be the game that the Vikings lose that they probably should not. On paper, the Bears are not the team that the Vikings are. Minnesota wins the quarterback battle and at the skill positions. In Chicago, the Bears’ defense could lead them to victory in this game.

Bears 17, Vikings 9 (6-3)

Week 11: vs. Dallas Cowboys

The schedule makers did not do the Vikings any favors as they return home to face the Cowboys and their explosive offense. This is where the Vikings will hit their worst stretch of the season but the good news is that the schedule eases up a bit after this game.

Cowboys 27, Vikings 21 (6-4)

Week 12: vs. Carolina Panthers

Minnesota will play their second of three straight games at home against a new look Panthers’ team. Teddy Bridgewater will return to face the team that drafted him back in 2014. The game plan is simple, contain Christian McCaffrey. The Vikings will know this heading in and will put together a scheme that Reese’s the Panthers’ offense. This is a good game for the Vikings to get back on track.

Vikings 27, Panthers 13 (7-4)

Week 13: vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

Jacksonville is a complete mess. They are going to be one of the worst teams in football. This may not be the worst thing for them if they land the No. 1 pick and have a chance at Trevor Lawrence. However, Lawrence will not be on the field for them Week 13 when they travel to Minnesota. This is an uncontested layup for the Vikings that should be finished.

Vikings 41, Jaguars 10 (8-4)
