After struggling with injuries throughout the first two years of his career, Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook finally had the breakout season fans have been waiting for in 2019. He posted career highs in rushing yards, touchdowns, receptions and receiving yards, leading many fans to speculate if Cook could be in for a contract extension this offseason.

According to reports, the Vikings would like to lock up their franchise running back for the long haul and are aiming to get a new deal done this offseason.

Another year of stellar production will drive up the price tag for Cook, so the Vikings would be smart to get a deal done sooner rather than later.
