The football franchise in D.C. has been in the news for many reasons this offseason. It started with good news as they drafted Chase Young with the No. 2 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. From there on, it began going downhill.

Owner Dan Snyder announced in July that the team will not be called the Redskins anymore and their logo would be removed immediately. They will go by the Washington Football Team for the 2020 season. Washington has completely overhauled the radio booth, hiring Julie Donaldson to be a game day voice. Washington also hired Jason Wright to be their team president. Wright will be the first Black team president in NFL history.

Despite all of the movement in the front office, Washington is still the same team on the field. In 2019, they featured the worst offense in football. Dwayne Haskins had a shaky rookie season full of inconsistency.

They had three rookie receivers to go with Adrian Peterson in the backfield. In 2020, the team will need Haskins to take the next step if they want to win more than three games.

The defense in Washington has a chance to be strong with Young joining the likes of Jonathan Allen, Daron Payne, and Landon Collins. There is not a similar belief in the offense. Here are four extremely bold predictions for the upcoming season.
