Washington Redskins: 3 Bold Predictions for Alex Smith in 2018

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Alex Smith Will Throw for 30 Touchdowns and Just Seven Interceptions

Washington is going to put the football in Alex Smith’s hands often and will ask him to lead them to the playoffs with his arm. Whether the Redskins end up making the playoffs or not, Smith will do his job.

Last season, Smith showed that he was capable of making big plays while taking care of the football. That ability has made him an incredibly valuable piece for the Redskins. He will continue down the road he has started on with 30 more touchdowns this season and just seven interceptions.

Those numbers are more than reasonable for Smith. Washington has put together an offense around Smith that should be able to make big plays on a consistent basis.

Paul Richardson, Jamison Crowder, Josh Doctson, and the three talented running backs that the Redskins have on the roster will take a lot of pressure off of Smith. He will take advantage of his situation to have another huge season.
