Unique Rushing Offense
The Redskins have struggled to find a stud at running back since the days of Clinton Portis and last season didn’t help. With poor play and injuries hurting the corps, their rushing attack finished 28th in the league.
The team addressed the issue in April by drafting LSU standout Derrius Guice in the second round. Guice’s violent, all-around skill-set perfectly fits the Redskins’ running scheme. Even with the addition of Guice, Washington still has a bevy of talented running backs with Chris Thompson, Samaje Perine, and incumbent Rob Kelly.
This corps is similar to the one that new quarterback Alex Smith had in Kansas City and maybe even more lethal. With a strong running game, Washington will soar into the postseason.
