Finally, the Redskins were predicted to go out and bring in a talented inside linebacker this offseason. Blake Martinez is set to hit the open market after a monstrous 2019 season with the Packers. He has some concerns surrounding his athleticism, but would still be a nice addition for Washington.

Martinez racked up 155 total tackles in 2019 to go along with three sacks, one forced fumble, one interception, and two defended passes. Those numbers would like nice for the Redskins.

Rivera needs a legitimate leader in the middle of his defense and Martinez absolutely has leadership skills. He will never be considered an elite star, but he could be a sure tackler that helps turn the Redskins’ defense into a powerhouse over the next few years.
