As we head into Week 4, the New York Giants are facing a must-win game against the Seattle Seahawks.

After three weeks, the Giants are currently sitting in last place in the NFC East with a 1-2 record. Coming into the season, we knew that the Giants’ schedule was going to be tough, and so far it has proven to be true. If not for a historic comeback against the Arizona Cardinals, we very well could be talking about the Giants’ season being over.

While the win against the Cardinals was a needed one, the Giants haven’t looked very good in their two losses, as the Dallas Cowboys handled them easily in the opener, and the San Fransico 49ers beat up the G-Men on Thursday Night Football.

With some extra days rest from Thursday Night Football and them playing on Monday Night Football, the Giants should be very prepared for the Seattle Seahawks at home. The Seahawks were a playoff team last season, and are currently sitting nicely with a 2-1 record so far this season.

For the Giants, this is a must-win game for them early in the season for a few different reasons. First, the upcoming schedule. As mentioned earlier, the Giants have one of the most difficult schedules in the NFL this season. This current stretch might end up proving to either make or break their season, as they will face the Seahawks, Buffalo Bills, and Miami Dolphins in the next three weeks.

Due to both games being on the road against the Bills and the Dolphins, the Giants will likely be significant underdogs and can’t be given a realistic chance to win those games. If the Giants are going to be a playoff team this season, this game against Seattle is a big one.

Like the Giants coming into the season, the Seahawks are hoping to be a playoff contender and like the Giants, the Seahawks aren’t the best team in the division. This game could go a long way toward shaping up the race for a Wild Card spot in the NFC, and while it’s early, this is important.

Even though the Giants will have had some time off since the loss to the 49ers, it’s uncertain if Saquon Barkley will be available for this game. The scheduling certainly has been beneficial for his recovery, but he was initially ruled out for 3 weeks.

For the Giants and their fans, they must be prepared to bring the energy on Monday Night Football, as their season could certinaly be on the line.
