Jameis Winston entered the start of free agency among one of the more polarizing passers on the market. In 2019, the former number one overall pick posted career-highs in passing yards (5,109) and touchdowns (33).
However, his lack of efficiency and turnovers prevented many teams from signing him, forcing Winston to wait until after the 2020 NFL draft to eventually find a landing spot. Soon after, Winston agreed upon a one-year contract with the New Orleans Saints, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Whereas Winston had to play the waiting game, the path for former Cincinnati Bengals’ signal-caller Andy Dalton was quite different this offseason. Dalton was released from his old stomping grounds in Ohio but found a new place to call home rather quickly. Dalton inked a one-year deal with the Dallas Cowboys, where he can earn up to $7 million with incentives, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
So that raises the question: Which quarterback finds themself in a better position?
