Why fans should be excited about Colts WR Michael Pittman Jr. in 2020

The Indianapolis Colts had an intriguing offseason full of helpful additions to their roster. One of the talents they added into the mix from the 2020 NFL Draft is former USC standout Michael Pittman Jr.

The Colts knew they had to prioritize adding talent on offense after signing Philip Rivers to a one-year deal. The window to contend for a Super Bowl before their new quarterback retires is small. A player like Pittman Jr. will help add a youthful contributor to the offense.

During Pittman’s final season with the Trojans, he totaled 101 receptions, 1,275 yards, and 11 touchdowns. He solidified himself as one of the better receiver prospects in the 2020 NFL Draft class, resulting in being an early second-round pick.

The expectation is that Pittman Jr. will be one of the top receiving options in the Colts’ offense as a rookie. That will be the case for many of the talented prospects at the wide receiver position from April’s draft considering the perception is so favorable of the class as a whole.

With that being said, let’s dive into three reasons fans should be excited about Colts wide receiver Mitchel Pittman Jr. in 2020.
