Lamb Makes Defenders Miss
CeeDee Lamb’s athleticism is what makes him so dominant. His speed and strength not only help when it comes to route-running and catching passes, but it’s after he’s made the catch that he does so much damage.
According to Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk, out of Lamb’s 3,292 career receiving yards in college, 1,520 yards of them came after the catch. That’s roughly 46% of his total yards. From that, he averaged 21.4 yards per reception last season.
Lamb is a playmaker and once the ball is in his hands, he thrives on making defenses miss. in comparison, Gallup had 343 yards after the catch last season, tied with ex-Cowboys slot receiver Randall Cobb, whereas Cooper only had 245.
Lamb certainly has the assets to replace a player like Cobb for the Cowboys and his ability to break through tackles is one of his strong-suites.
