Lamb’s Sticky Hands Downfield

Dallas Cowboy fans, you will love this one. What would you say is a good number of drops to have on deep passes?

How about zero? That seems pretty, pretty good.

It’s true, CeeDee Lamb did not drop a single pass of 20+ yards in his three seasons at Oklahoma. Not one.

Lamb’s ability to get open down the field means nothing if he can’t come up with the ball. But he was literally perfect in that category at Oklahoma.

Prescott and Cowboy fans have to love that, especially since the Cowboys were fourth in the NFL in drop passes (24) in 2019.

With Lamb and Gallup, defenses have to respect both of their abilities to be a deep ball threat. Defenses already will have their hands full with Cooper and Lamb could see a lot of 1-on-1 matchups where he can break free down the field.
