Funchess has the size to create mismatches against almost any defensive back. Rodgers has always thrived when having big targets to throw to in the red zone. His new weapon could be one of his favorite targets in red zone situations.
Brian Gutekunst surprised fans by not drafting a wide receiver, but a 26-year-old veteran with size and proven ability makes even more sense. The Packers are only a piece or two away from serious Super Bowl contention and they are hoping that Funchess can be that piece for their offense.
