Why the Atlanta Falcons should consider trading QB Matt Ryan at the deadline

The season is not going well for Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons. With another loss, the team is now sitting at 0-5 on the young season, but the toughest challenges are still ahead.

Not only is this a squad that is not going to make the playoffs, right now they are in a driver’s seat for a top-five pick in the 2021 NFL draft.

The team clearly needs a big overhaul and after the firing of Dan Quinn, a new era is starting in Atlanta.

While Ryan has been the go-to guy his entire career, he is not going to lead the Falcons to any more Super Bowls during the remainder of his career. Rather than wait for him to leave for nothing, Atlanta should get a jump on the rebuild process by trading him.
