Why the Chargers should take a look at Clemson LB Isaiah Simmons at No. 6

After the Los Angeles Chargers announced they’ll be moving on from quarterback Phillip Rivers this offseason, many believe they’ll look to find their new franchise quarterback through the draft. Likely using their sixth overall pick to do so.

While that is certainly a strong possibility for Los Angeles, quarterback won’t be the only need the team has to fill this offseason. Obviously, quarterback is the most important position in football, but who’s to say they won’t try to sign a veteran guy like Teddy Bridgewater?

There are a few different routes the Chargers could take. If they do decide to fill their quarterback vacancy with a free agent, Los Angeles should take Clemson linebacker Isaiah Simmons with their first-round selection.
