Odell Beckham Jr. is a hot name right now, especially with the rumors that have come out about the Minnesota Vikings being in talks with the Cleveland Browns about a potential trade for him. If those rumors are true, we likely haven’t heard the last of teams trying to come to terms on a deal with the Browns. One team that should place a call is the Indianapolis Colts.

Chris Ballard and the Colts have been one of the more aggressive teams this offseason. They made a statement immediately after the NFL free agency negotiating window opened by agreeing to a blockbuster trade that sent the No. 13 overall pick to the San Francisco 49ers for DeForest Buckner.

Soon after the trade to acquire Buckner, the Colts went out and signed veteran star quarterback Philip Rivers. They also brought in former Pro Bowl cornerback Xavier Rhodes.

Pursuing a trade for Beckham would be a great way to finish out their offseason. He is still one of the best wide receivers in the game even after a down season in 2019. Beckham ended up catching 74 passes for 1,035 yards and four touchdowns last season.

All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at three reasons why the Colts should pursue a trade for Beckham if he is available.
