Why The Eagles Should Trade Alshon Jeffery This Offseason

Bad Chemistry

Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

Last season, there were whispers that there was a riff in the Eagles locker room caused by Alshon Jeffery. Despite helping the team to their first-ever Championship in 2017, Jeffery wasn’t happy. There could be a few reasons for that and one of them may be his relationship with Nick Foles. It was Foles who led the Eagles along with Jeffery as they built chemistry and not he and Carson Wentz.

With Wentz still hobbled, the Eagles were a catch away from the NFC Championship Game in 2018 until Jeffery dropped a catchable ball from Foles. Philadelphia is a tough city to play for and Jeffery took heat for that mishap. Was the pressure too much for him to handle?

Regardless of how great they can be, there’s no denying that something was off. There were reports that Jeffrey and another Eagles’ players had to be separated this season which may have stemmed from Jeffery criticizing the offense.
