3. Aaron Rodgers Isn’t Getting Any Younger
Let’s be honest, Aaron Rodgers is entering the final stage of his career with the Packers. He still has four years left on his contract, but many think he is already showing signs of regression. Green Bay needs to begin preparing for life after Rodgers.
Bringing in Jalen Hurts would give the Packers a four-year project. He could take over as the starter before then if Rodgers begins regressing badly, or he could simply negotiate a new deal to take over after sitting behind Rodgers.
Either way, Hurts has the potential to be the quarterback of the future in Green Bay. It wouldn’t be the easiest situation, but the Packers have experience switching from one star quarterback to a young rising star. Hurts may not end up living up to the hype, but it would make sense to give him a shot.
