Obviously, the job of an inside linebacker isn’t only to play well on the field. It is also to lead the defense and make his teammates better around him.

Murray has done that with the Sooners and it showed. There is no question that he will become a leader in the NFL. Oakland would find their defensive leader with this selection.

For a defense to be elite, they need four different things. They need a lethal pass rush, sure tackling, and playmaking in the secondary. Leadership is the quality that some teams overlook, but the Raiders cannot afford to do that.
