Why the Ravens should pursue Danny Trevathan in free agency

Last offseason, the Baltimore Ravens hopelessly watched C.J. Mosley depart in free agency to the New York Jets. Following his departure, the Ravens knew it was going to be an uphill climb to find his replacement.

Throughout the 2019 campaign, Baltimore was confident that Patrick Onwuasor could fill the void left by Mosley. After a disappointing year from Onwuasor, and with him becoming a free agent, the Ravens could consider signing someone in free agency.

For years, the Ravens have prided themselves on being a tough-nosed defense and having a stalwart at inside linebacker. Sadly, Mosley or Ray Lewis isn’t walking through the tunnel at M&T Bank Stadium.

Without a doubt, there are going to be a few notable names available in free agency. Among them, Joe Schobert, Blake Martinez, and Cory Littleton figure to command lucrative contracts.

On the other hand, Baltimore could be interested in signing someone in the mid-tier range. In light of that, here is why the Ravens should pursue Danny Trevathan in free agency.
