2. Adams Is An Obvious Upgrade

Recent draft picks Jordan Whitehead, Mike Edwards and Justin Evans are promising, but the win-now window Tampa Bay is in makes leaving no stone unturned for additions mandatory. Even with the draft addition of the versatile Winfield, the the back end of the defense and the safety position could still use an upgrade in talent.

Adams is an elite three-level defender from the safety position the likes of which any team would love to have. The Buccaneers can’t lose games this year due to lapses in the back end of the defense, and Adams can erase some of those while providing game-altering plays.
