Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts put forth another strong effort in his team’s win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday afternoon, going 17-for-23 with 207 yards and a couple of touchdowns. In addition, he carried the ball 10 times for 36 yards and a score.

With the victory, Hurts improved his regular-season record against winning teams to 10-0 since last year, representing the best mark among all signal-callers with five or more starts since 2022 (h/t James Palmer of NFL Network). Including the playoffs, Hurts’ record in those games is 12-1, with his lone loss coming to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl last February.

On the 2023 campaign overall, Hurts has thrown for 2,347 yards, 15 touchdowns and eight interceptions while completing 68.9 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 97. He has also rushed for 316 yards while reaching the end zone seven times.

Week 9 also marked the first time since Week 4 that Hurts did not turn the ball over. He did fumble once against the Cowboys, but he recovered it. It did, however, mark his third consecutive game with a fumble.

The 25-year-old, who played his collegiate football at both the University of Alabama and the University of Oklahoma, was selected by the Eagles in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Hurts became Philadelphia’s full-time starter under center in 2021, and by his second full season in that role, he finished second in MVP voting and led the Eagles all the way to a Super Bowl appearance. During the 2022 campaign, Jalen Hurts totaled 3,701 yards, 22 touchdowns and six picks while adding 760 yards and 13 scores on the ground.

Philly improved to an NFL-best 8-1 with its win over Dallas this past weekend and now holds a two-and-a-half game lead over the Cowboys for first place in the NFC East.

The Eagles will have a Week 10 bye before getting set to battle the Chiefs in a Super Bowl rematch on Nov. 20.
