1 Insane Statistic Shows Dominance Of Eagles WR AJ Brown

AJ Brown, Eagles, Titans
NFL Analysis Network

When the Philadelphia Eagles acquired star wide receiver AJ Brown from the Tennessee Titans last offseason, everyone knew that they had gotten a steal. One of the best up-and-coming wideouts in the NFL and a legitimate star for an unproven pick. Nothing could have set the Eagles up better for success than that massive blockbuster trade.

Fast forward to one season later and the expectation became reality. Brown was one of the most dominant wide receivers in the NFL and helped lead the Eagles to the Super Bowl.

Along that entertaining and wild run, Brown showcased some crazy production. One statistic in particular shows just how dominant he was against opposing defensive backs.

AJ Brown vs single coverage last season: 850 yards (1st), 8 Touchdowns (1st)

To say that defenses should stop trying to send one man up against Brown on an island would be a major understatement. Almost every single time, Brown made defensive coordinators pay for their decisions.

During the course of the 2022 season with the Eagles, Brown ended up catching 88 passes for 1,496 yards and 11 touchdowns. Those numbers show just how impressive his season was in his first year with Philadelphia. Having a No. 1 wideout like Brown helped Jalen Hurts take a huge leap as well.

Very few teams in the NFL can say they have a talent like Brown at the wide receiver position. Even fewer have a superstar like Brown and then a No. 2 wide receiver as talented as DeVonta Smith. The Eagles have truly built a special aerial attack offensively.

Expect to see the Eagles come out doing more of the same this season. Brown is just 26 years old and is in his prime. He will pick up where he left off torching defenses.

The Eagles are expected to be a Super Bowl contender once again this season. However, they don’t want to be a contender. They want to get back and finish the job.

It will be interesting to see if AJ Brown and the Eagles can accomplish their massive goal.
