2 huge reasons the Packers should be targeting LB Kenneth Murray at No. 30

The Packers Need More Athleticism At Linebacker

Against the 49ers, the Packers saw a major need for more athleticism at the linebacker position. In multiple situations, San Francisco was able to get to the outside and Blake Martinez was unable to cover the necessary ground to stop them.

Kenneth Murray has the kind of athleticism to range across the field and cover sideline to sideline. If the Packers had that, the game against the 49ers may have been different. Add in the fact that he still has plenty of room to grow, and Green Bay’s defense would take a big leap forward with Murray.

Green Bay is likely to let Martinez walk in free agency. They will need to replace him with a better fit for Mike Pettine’s defense, and the fit doesn’t get much better than Murray.
