The Dallas Cowboys are hitting their stride in the last few weeks as their offense has come alive with Dak Prescott getting back into the lineup. Since Prescott returned, the Cowboys have arguably the best offense in the NFL.

Dallas has reached the 40-point mark in three out of the last five games as they have been steamrolling their opponents. They are scoring touchdowns at a high rate and racking up a ton of yardage as they get healthier and are tough to stop.

Prescott is surrounded by a bunch of weapons with wide receivers CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup, running backs Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard and tight end Dalton Schultz. The offensive line is getting a huge boost with Tyron Smith returning as well to assume his spot at left tackle with rookie Tyler Smith kicking inside to replace Connor McGovern.

While the offense is getting into a groove, the defense has been on fire throughout the season. They have been one of the best units in the NFL from Day 1 as they have stars at each level of the defense.

In the front seven, they have vaunted pass rushers in defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence and linebacker Micah Parsons. They are leading what has been a dominant pass rush all season, which has been key to their success all season.

According to PFF, the Cowboys are currently leading the NFL with 48 sacks. Parsons has 12 while Lawrence has 6.0 and Dorance Armstrong Jr. is second on the team with 8.0, while five other players have multiple sacks on the season as well. They are also leading the league with 253 pressures and a 40.8 percent pressure percentage.

Having that caliber of pass rush is certainly beneficial for a team as it puts a ton of pressure on opposing offenses. What makes it even stronger is that the secondary behind them is also very strong, led by Trevon Diggs, who is putting together another All-Pro season.

The secondary and pass rush have been feeding off of each other all season and the team is hopeful that will continue the final five games of the regular season into the postseason for what they are expecting to be a lengthy playoff run.
