The 2024 NFL season is going to have a lot riding on it for the Philadelphia Eagles. After a brutal late-season collapse last year, there have been rumors all offseason about Nick Sirianni’s job being on the line this season. Plenty of other changes could occur as well if the Eagles are unable to get things back on track.

Philadelphia made quite a few changes to their coaching staff despite keeping Sirianni as head coach. The team brought in new coordinators on both sides of the ball.

On the offensive side of the football, Kellen Moore is the new offensive coordinator. Defensively, longtime coordinator Vic Fangio has joined the squad.

Looking at the team’s offense specifically, Moore recently opened up that he is looking to make some changes to the offense. He provided some insight into his plans for the offense in a recent quote that was shared by NFL.com.

“There will be tweaks. There will be changes. Everything is constantly evolving. That’s part of this whole offseason program. We got to the first week of actually being on the field with these guys. Once you get on the field, things just start evolving.”

Can The Philadelphia Eagles Turn Things Around?

Clearly, some things need to be tweaked. Whatever the Eagles were doing last season did not work. They looked to be a legitimate Super Bowl contender for the most of the season but could not stop sliding late in the year, which culminated in a Wild Card loss to Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

On the outside looking in, the Eagles have a stacked offense all the way through.

Jalen Hurts has the talent and potential to be one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. Yet, in 2023, he struggled and took a step back from the year before. Moore and company will need to figure out how to get him going again.

During the offseason, the Eagles invested a lot of money into keeping their two top wide receivers in town. They locked both A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith into new long-term deals. Both players are capable of being No. 1 wideouts and need to step up to have big years.

A key loss from last year’s team occurred for the Eagles in free agency when D’Andre Swift left town to sign with the Chicago Bears. However, they replaced him with Saquon Barkley, which should be an upgrade as well.

There are very few weaknesses on the offensive side of the ball for the Eagles. They should be one of the highest-powered offenses in the NFL.

Moore has his work cut out for him to turn things around, but he has all the talent in the world to work with. It will be interesting to see what changes he makes, but there are no excuses for this group to not succeed.

Fans can’t wait for the 2024 NFL season to get here. The Eagles are hungry to redeem themselves after last season and hopefully Moore can lead them to a dynamic season offensively.
