3 perfect options for the New Orleans Saints at No. 24 overall in the NFL Draft

Justin Jefferson

Just in the past week, the NFL Combine took place in Indianapolis for teams to get a closer look at some of the incoming prospects. At the wide receiver position, there weren’t many players that improved their stock more than Justin Jefferson.

Jefferson, who played right down the road at LSU, was already considered to be a coveted prospect in this year’s draft. But after running a 4.43 40-yard dash and conducting a 37.5-inch vertical jump, Jefferson solidified himself as a first-round selection.

To cap off his career at LSU, Jefferson accumulated 111 receptions, 1,540 yards, and 18 touchdowns in 2019. While producing remarkable numbers, Jefferson exhibited great route-running ability and versatility.

Even though he operated out of the slot for the majority of his snaps, Jefferson is more than capable of playing multiple spots in the offense. There’s no doubt that a duo of Thomas and Jefferson would thrive with Brees throwing them the ball.
