3 running backs the Chiefs should target in the 2020 NFL Draft

2. Cam Akers, Florida State

Next up, Florida State standout Cam Akers would be a very solid addition for the Chiefs. He hasn’t been talked about a lot throughout the draft process thus far, but whoever ends up taking him will be very happy that they did.

Akers had a great season in 2019 for the Seminoles. He racked up 1,144 yards and 14 touchdowns on 231 carries. In addition to his rushing totals, he caught 30 passes for 225 yards and four scores.

Florida State has always had great talent at the running back position. NFL.com has Akers’ comparison listed as Duke Johnson. While that is a solid comparisons, Akers has quite a bit more talent that Johnson possesses.
