Tail back Antonio Gibson was the bell cow in Washington’s offensive attack on Sunday, as his number was called on 13 of the team’s 22 carries.

Gibson averaged 3.5 yards per carry, and scored one of Washington’s two rushing touchdowns on the day.

While Washington ultimately couldn’t pull off a win, a team with a young quarterback needs a steady run game that it can rely on.

Gibson showed promise on Sunday, and he should be a factor in the coming weeks as well.
