While Chicago does have the option to retain Fields and continue fostering his development, the prevailing sentiment suggests that they are leaning towards parting ways with him in favor of a fresh start at the quarterback position.

Insider Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report has consistently highlighted the Atlanta Falcons as a potential destination for Fields in a trade scenario, a sentiment echoed by various sources. In fact, the Falcons have emerged as the frontrunners in betting markets to acquire the talented quarterback.

“Well, not to double down on Atlanta again, but there is absolutely a building buzz among the NFL that the Falcons would be in play for Justin Fields. When I think about Atlanta with Justin Fields, there’s something about a backfield shared with him and Bijan Robinson that really gets me fired up…You could really see how that could materialize and be something super special.”

Additionally, the Pittsburgh Steelers have emerged as prominent contenders for Fields’ services. Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated recently disclosed that numerous teams, including the Steelers, have expressed keen interest in acquiring the young quarterback from the Bears.

It’s worth noting that any team acquiring Fields will face a crucial decision in May regarding his fifth-year option, a commitment that carries a substantial price tag of nearly $22 million.
