The Baltimore Ravens will battle the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game this Sunday, and a big point of emphasis for the Ravens will be containing tight end Travis Kelce.

Baltimore safety Kyle Hamilton spoke about slowing down Kelce this week and understands he will play a big role in attempting to do so.

“I’m part of the plan to hopefully take him away,” Hamilton said, via Jamison Hensley of ESPN. “In the back end, you know, it’s not going to be man to man the whole game. You got to have guys in the right spot, guys attached to him. That kind of stuff.”

Hamilton is one of the better defensive backs in all of football, so if anyone can limit Kelce, it’s him.

The second-year pro played in 15 games during the regular season, racking up 81 tackles, three sacks, four interceptions, a forced fumble, 13 passes defended and a defensive touchdown. That earned him a Pro Bowl selection and First-Team All-Pro honors.

Hamilton, who played his collegiate football at Notre Dame, was selected by the Ravens with the 14th overall pick of the 2022 NFL Draft.

He appeared in 16 contests during his rookie campaign, finishing with 62 tackles, a couple of sacks, a forced fumble and five passes defended.

Kelce has certainly been a problem for opposing defenses over the Chiefs’ first two postseason games. He logged seven catches for 71 yards in Kansas City’s Wild Card Round win over the Miami Dolphins, and last weekend, he totaled seven grabs for 75 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the club’s Divisional Round victory over the Buffalo Bills.

The 34-year-old hauled in 93 receptions for 984 yards and five touchdowns in the regular season.

Baltimore finished with the best record in football this year and will be hosting the Chiefs on Sunday.
