First and foremost, Mitchell Trubisky needs to be targeting remaining the starter for the entire season. That is far from a guarantee and he might be heading into training camp in a full-on battle for the starting job with Nick Foles.

At just 25 years old, Trubisky is young enough to be the long-term franchise quarterback for the Bears. However, he is going to have to prove it. This could very well be his last chance.

Matt Nagy and the Bears’ coaching staff have maintained their confidence in Trubisky. The move to acquire Foles shows that the front office may not agree with that confidence. Either way, he must start in all 16 games.
