The Cincinnati Bengals hit the jackpot when they landed the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. With that pick, they selected quarterback Joe Burrow out of LSU, changing the trajectory of their franchise.

The Bengals have accomplished a lot in the three seasons with Burrow under center, more than they had in decades. He has helped turn things around rather quickly Cincinnati now looks like a perennial contender with him leading the offense.

There are a few areas of improvement on the team, but as long as Burrow is under center, the Bengals will have one of the most prolific offenses in the NFL. He has a plethora of weapons around him that he takes full advantage of as Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd are arguably the best wide receiver trio in the league.

That has led to some huge performances throughout his career. Burrow led the NFL in completion percentage during the 2021 regular season and has thrown for 34+ touchdowns in back-to-back seasons. After having his rookie season cut short because of a knee injury, he has played at a very high level since his return.

Just how impressive has Burrow been on the field? According to the NFL on CBS Twitter account, the Bengals’ star quarterback has a passer rating of 104.2 since the 2021 season with a minimum of 15 starts. That is tops in the league, with Patrick Mahomes at 101.8 and Aaron Rodgers at 101.4 coming in behind him.

After recording a passer rating of 89.8 as a rookie, the LSU product has taken his performance to another level. That is some elite company for Burrow to find himself in as Mahomes and Rodgers are two of the best to ever do it. If he continues playing at this level, the Bengals are going to find plenty of success on the field.
