The Buffalo Bills seem to have smoothed things over with star wide receiver Stefon Diggs. After a rocky stretch during the spring, when head coach Sean McDermott canceled the last practice of mandatory minicamp, both sides seem to be on the same page again.

That is great news for the Bills, whose offense revolves heavily around Diggs. He has been excellent for the team since being acquired from the Minnesota Vikings in 2020, making three Pro Bowls with a first and second-team All-Pro nod as well.

In 2020, Diggs led the NFL with 127 receptions and 1,535 yards, adding eight touchdowns. He hasn’t slowed down in the following two seasons, cementing his status as one of the premier pass catchers in the league.

Heading into his ninth season in the NFL, Diggs is certainly someone that younger players on the Bills can turn to for guidance and some leadership. One of the players who sought some help from Diggs was Gabriel Davis.

Davis, who is entering the final season of his rookie deal, is a big play threat every time he steps on the field. While the Bills sought out a more consistent producer behind Diggs, it is a role that Davis will once again fill in 2023.

Davis shared some advice that Diggs gave to him, which could certainly be taken as unorthodox in the opinion of many. Overall, it was hilarious advice, as Diggs once again expressed supreme confidence in himself and to a certain extent, is correct.

“What I took from Diggs is ‘don’t do what Diggs does because Diggs does it better than you’,” is what Davis shared of the advice he was given while making an appearance in the 2ndWind Podcast

That is certainly some advice that Diggs has bestowed upon his Bills teammate. While some people will be put off by such comments, there is a layer of truth to that. Davis is better off attempting to carve out his own path in the NFL than attempting to replicate what Diggs or anyone else has done at the position.
