No. 2 — QB Drew Lock
As far as rookie quarterbacks go, Drew Lock may have had the most roller-coaster season of all in 2019 with the Broncos.
It began with him struggling to surpass Joe Flacco and make his way onto the field, and it ended with him being heralded as one of the few successful QB’s in the 2019 draft class, holding a bright future ahead of him. In the end, he only started five games, but he went 4-1 in those games, and threw for seven touchdowns and three interceptions.
It’s not yet a sample size that you can hang your hat on, but when you look at some of the second-year jumps that have been made by QB’s in recent years, it’s tough not to get excited about what Lock might be able to do in 2020.
