Buffalo Bills Emerge As Favorite To Trade For Davante Adams

Could the Las Vegas Raiders seriously move wide receiver Davante Adams? And could he end up with the Buffalo Bills?

Trade speculation is swirling around Adams after the superstar criticized the team for the second time this season following the Raiders’ Week 6 win over the New England Patriots.

Adams complained about his usage (or lack thereof) in Las Vegas’ offense, as the 30-year-old has logged just six catches on nine targets over the last two weeks. Against the Patriots, he caught just two passes for 29 yards on five targets.

Earlier in the year, Adams lambasted the Raiders’ organizational culture and said he does not have time to just wait around.

Las Vegas acquired Adams in a blockbuster trade with the Green Bay Packers two offseasons ago, but some feel that he may not be with the club for much longer.

So, if the Raiders do in fact trade Adams, who will land him?

Bet Online currently lists the Buffalo Bills as the favorites to win a potential Adams sweepstakes, giving them +400 odds (h/t Anthony Licciardi of Fan Nation). The Detroit Lions and Tennessee Titans are second at +500 (the Titans seem like an odd choice, but whatever).

The Bills absolutely make sense as a destination.

Outside of Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis, Buffalo does not have a whole lot of options in its aerial attack. But imagine a trio of Diggs, Davis and Adams?

Of course, the possibility remains that the Bills would have to send Davis back to the Raiders as part of any package for Davante Adams, but there is also a chance that Buffalo can house all three on its roster.

The Bills are 4-2 this season and are coming off of a rather shaky win over the New York Giants. They will take on New England this Sunday.
