CBS Sports has the Raiders drafting Washington QB Jacob Eason at No. 12

The Las Vegas Raiders are entering the NFL offseason with quite a few needs as they look to get back into contention. In 2019, they came up just short of making the playoffs. That gives Jon Gruden and company plenty of hope for next year.

One of the main keys for the Raiders this offseason will be adding young talent in the 2020 NFL Draft. They hold the No. 12 overall pick in the first round and there are quite a few different directions they could choose to go with that pick.

CBS Sports has released their latest mock draft and they have Las Vegas taking a quarterback. Washington’s Jacob Eason is an intriguing prospect and their mock draft has the Raiders swooping in and taking him at No. 12.

Eason can rip it and push the ball downfield. He does not make as many poor decisions with the football as Justin Herbert. Las Vegas opens its new stadium with some fireworks.

Eason put together a solid season for the Huskies in 2019. He completed a sizzling 64.2 percent of his passes for 3,132 yards, 23 touchdowns, and just eight interceptions. Those numbers show what kind of production Eason is capable of providing for the Raiders should they take him.

Standing in at 6-foot-6 and 230 pounds, Eason has great size for an NFL quarterback. Las Vegas could use an option behind Derek Carr and this could be a perfect direction for them to go.

It will be interesting to see what Gruden and Mike Mayock decide to do this offseason. Eason is certainly an option, but there are other needs the Raiders could pursue as well.
