Leads League in Receiving Yards
The last big accomplishment Tyreek Hill needs is to lead the league in receiving yards. Hill has made it to the Pro Bowl each year and received many honors but leading the entire league in receiving yards is something he has never done.
Hill came closest in 2018, finishing in fourth place with 1,479 yards. It will be difficult, but a slight improvement on his 2018 season could see it happen.
The addition of a more viable rushing attack in Kansas City should keep the safeties and linebackers more warry of needing to help out. This might result in a few more times per game where Hill finds himself in one-on-one coverage with no over the top help.
Hill does not need to see a huge increase in his receptions per game, but the yards per catch number will be what makes the difference here.
Another year of development and connection with Mahomes will also allow a few more risks to be made with the deep ball. The schedule, development, and new personnel all lean in Hill’s favor of being able to take his game to new heights in 2020.
