The Las Vegas Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs are set to square off in what should be an entertaining Week 12 matchup. While the Chiefs are heavily favored to win the game, the Raiders are not a team to be taken lightly. Under new head coach Antonio Pierce, Las Vegas is playing with heart once again and is looking to turn around from their recent losing ways.

One of the big storylines coming into this game has been the status of superstar pass-rusher Maxx Crosby for the Raiders. He has been dealing with a knee injury that was expected to sideline him for the game. Even with the “doubtful” injury tag, Crosby has worked his way back to having a realistic chance to play.

Earlier this week, superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes did not hold back on his thoughts about Crosby. It’s clear that he does not like facing the elite pass-rusher, but he does respect him greatly.

“I mean, I don’t like playing against him because I know what type of player he is and the mindset he comes in with. But, yeah, I don’t talk to a ton of trash. I just try to stay fired up and go out there and win. And he’s the same way. He wants to win as much as anybody. And that’s why I have so much respect for him. But at the end of the day, we’re competing; that’s what competitors do.”

Watching these two go at it will be must-watch TV today. Crosby has been a monster this season and Mahomes has the Chiefs once again looking like one of the top contenders in the AFC.

So far this season in 11 games, Crosby has racked up 65 total tackles to go along with 10.5 sacks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and two defended passes. He has put the Raiders’ defense on his back and has shown no signs of slowing down.

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs will have their hands full today. The Raiders are not going to back down and they are going to be led by Maxx Crosby barring a negative change in his injury status. Make sure to tune in to see which superstar comes out on top.
