Clemson Tigers’ head coach, Dabo Swinney, is enjoying a successful week on the recruiting front. His recent achievements include securing commitments from top talents in the 2025 class.

One of the standout additions is four-star offensive tackle Braydon Jacobs, whose announcement to join Clemson has further bolstered the team’s prospects.

Braydon Jacobs, hailing from a football lineage as the son of former New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs, stands tall at 6-foot-6 and weighs 310 pounds. He is widely regarded as one of the top 20 prospects in the 2025 class.

During an Under Armour camp, On3’s Sam Spiegelman had high praise for Jacobs, highlighting his potential.

“The son of former Auburn and New York Giants RB Brandon Jacobs, the 2025 OL is certainly looking the part at a different position. Like his father, the younger Jacobs passes the eye test at 6-foot-6 and 315 pounds with a tremendous wingspan. Lining up at guard, the Buford (Ga.) rising junior flashed quick feet and was impressive anticipating and countering some of the upperclassmen along the defensive line. Jacobs has length and packed some powerful jabs to set a base and looks capable of being a movable piece along the offensive line.”

This acquisition is yet another significant win for Coach Swinney and his dedicated coaching staff. Recognizing the pivotal importance of a strong offensive line in football, Clemson is strategically shaping its future with recruits like Jacobs.

Braydon Jacobs marks the ninth commitment in Clemson’s 2025 recruiting cycle.

According to On3’s rankings, Clemson currently boasts the fifth-ranked recruiting class for 2025. While they trail behind LSU, Ohio State, Georgia, and Oregon, they proudly hold the title of the highest-rated ACC team.

It’s worth noting that there’s ample time for further developments, but Clemson’s early recruiting success is undoubtedly a promising sign for the program. Despite having previously dominated the college football scene, the Tigers have faced challenges in replicating that success. A promising class like this could potentially change the narrative.

The future appears bright for the Clemson Tigers, but uncertainties still linger regarding their performance in 2024. The ACC competition remains fierce, particularly against Florida State, whom the Tigers must overcome to secure the ACC title.
