5 must-win games for the Cleveland Browns during the 2020 season

Stretch Run: Week 15 (Giants) & 16 (Steelers)

So this might be considered cheating, but I’m rolling with it anyway.

Simply put, the Cleveland Browns will have to finish the season winning two of their last three games to make the playoffs. Forget winning the division. If they don’t win two-thirds of these games, they won’t see post-season football, again.

I shutter to think about what might happen if the Browns miss the post-season again, but it could happen. If it does, the certainly don’t have the schedule makers to blame.

Two road games in the final three seems like a rough deal. However, both of those are in the same stadium, in New Jersey. Just a seven hour drive away, even shorter on an airplane.

Then, the team is home to face the Pittsburgh Steelers who will likely be fully into post-Ben Roethlisberger mode by then.

NFL schedule makers could have sent the Browns to Dallas this late, or even Jacksonville. Instead, it’s New Jersey. Not too shabby. If I’m on the team, I’m wondering if we can just stay in Jersey through Christmas. If the gift at the end is a playoff ticket, then it’ll be a happy holiday for everyone.

Those are my five – or so – games the Cleveland Browns absolutely must win in 2020 to make the playoffs and have a chance of challenging the Baltimore Ravens to sit atop the AFC North.

Give us yours in the comments, or tell me where I went wrong. I can take it.
