Cleveland Browns defensive lineman Myles Garrett was fined for criticizing the officiating after his team’s Week 14 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, so he was much more careful with his words following the Browns’ victory over the Chicago Bears this past Sunday.

Apparently, Garrett still was not happy with the way the game was called, but he did not want to pick up another fine.

“Ask Roger [Goodell],” Garrett said when a reported asked him about the refs (via the Browns’ official YouTube account). “You watch the film and you ask Roger, I know what the question is going to be and not going to hit me over the head with anything else.”

Garrett was upset two weeks ago because he felt there was a lack of holding calls on the Jaguars’ offensive line. Evidently, he felt the same way about the Bears game, but he refused to go into detail for obvious reasons.

Hayden Grove of Cleveland.com took to Twitter to post some photos of what appeared to be obvious holds on Garrett in Week 15, although no calls were made in any of the instances.

Garrett logged three tackles against Chicago and was held without a sack for the fourth straight week. On the season overall, he has racked up 36 tackles, 13 sacks, four forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and three passes defended.

The 27-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Texas A&M, was selected by the Browns with the No. 1 overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Since then, he has established himself as one of the best pass rushers in football, making four trips to the Pro Bowl and earning a couple of First-Team All-Pro selections.

Myles Garrett posted 16 sacks in each of the preceding two seasons. He had been on pace to shatter that mark this year, but his recent slump will make that difficult.

Cleveland is 9-5 this year and will take on the Houston Texans next weekend. It will then battle the New York Jets and Cincinnati Bengals to close out the regular season.
