Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons criticized San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy following Purdy’s miserable performance against the Baltimore Ravens, and former NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski thought Parsons’ comments were out of turn.

“It’s really weird that he’s tweeting that out there,” Gronkowski said on the Up & Adams Show, referencing Parsons’ critical X post on Purdy “First of all, there’s a saying out there: Losers focus on winners, and winners focus on winning. And if you want to be a winner, then you have to focus on winning.”

Purdy threw four interceptions against the Ravens on Christmas Day, with three of them coming in the first half. It was the worst performance of Purdy’s career and unquestionably sabotaged his MVP case.

“It’s really, really weird, though, in this case because Micah Parsons is one of the best defensive players in the league. He might win Defensive Player of the Year this year,” added Gronkowski. “But on top of it, it’s a team game. It doesn’t matter how good you are as an individual.”

Well, Parsons did not take too kindly too Gronkowski’s response and immediately took to X to make another post, this time firing back at Gronkowski.

Parsons’ reply actually came with Gronkowski was still making his appearance on the Up & Adams Show, giving Gronkowski time to come back with a retort of his own.

“That was fast, wow,” Gronkowski told Adams. “I mean, everyone has their own opinion — I got to agree with that. Everyone has their own channel now with social media, but I still think it’s weird that you’re worried about another team, man. You just have to worry about what you can control, not what the other team is doing.”

Gronkowski does have a point. The Cowboys have lost two games in a row, so Parsons should probably be more worried about helping fix his own team’s problems rather than assessing the quarterback of another franchise.

Micah Parsons is enjoying a terrific 2023 campaign, as he has racked up 53 tackles, 13 sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery through 15 games.

Dallas is 10-5 on the season and will battle the Detroit Lions on Saturday. It will then wrap up the regular season when it takes on the Washington Commanders on Jan. 7.
