Cowboys’ Micah Parsons Reveals Strong Take From Loss To Eagles

Overall, one would have to say Micah Parsons and the Dallas Cowboys failed to make a statement on Sunday when they lost 28-23 to the Philadelphia Eagles.

While they were very competitive and even took an early 14-7 lead, they failed to get the job done against the defending NFC champs.

However, star pass rusher Micah Parsons sees it differently. He feels his Cowboys actually played well enough to win and simply lost, and he said that as a result, they feel more confident now.

“We know we played good enough to win that game,” Parsons said, via Jon Machota of The Athletic. “But we didn’t. That’s just how the dice rolls sometimes. Sometimes you play good enough and good enough isn’t good enough. That’s just the reality of the game. I feel like we have even more confidence now. I feel like everybody had us out and everyone was praising this Eagles team. Obviously, we gave them their best fit. I’m not even going to spit fuel on the fire. We’ll see them again in four weeks.”

NFL NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Micah Parsons, Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles Updates

The last time they played against a potential Super Bowl contender, they got stomped on 42-10 by the San Francisco 49ers in Week 5. Quarterback Dak Prescott threw three interceptions in what some called the worst game of his career.

But he has rebounded from that embarrassment, and he has played very well the last two weeks. Against Philly, he threw three touchdown passes, and the week prior versus the Los Angeles Rams, he went 25 of 31 for 304 yards and four touchdowns in a 43-20 win.

But the bone of contention with Prescott is how he plays in big games and big moments. In crunch time against the Eagles, he once again failed to come through.

After the Eagles failed to score, he got the ball on his own 14-yard line with 46 seconds left, and it only took two plays for him to get Dallas to the Eagles’ 25-yard line. But afterward, he got sacked for a loss of 11 yards, and then he failed to snap the ball before the play clock ran out, resulting in a delay of game violation and a loss of another five yards.

On paper, Dallas has the talent, especially on defense, to make a run at the Super Bowl. However, it will all depend on how well Prescott plays when it matters most.
