Cowboys Trade For Raiders’ Maxx Crosby In Bold Scenario

The Dallas Cowboys’ defense is already one of the best in the NFL, but could they make some moves to make it even more dominant ahead of the Oct. 31 NFL trade deadline? Could Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby be a potential target?

We know owner Jerry Jones likes to be aggressive, and with the Cowboys seems to have their first chance at a Super Bowl title in almost three decades this season, Jones may very well go all out to try and add some pieces in the coming weeks.

While the Raiders have never explicitly stated (or implied) that they are putting Crosby up for trade, some are suggesting that it’s a marriage that needs to come to an end.

Las Vegas is just 1-3 so far this season and appears headed for another year of mediocrity (or failure, depending on how you look at it). The Raiders have made just two playoff appearances since 2003, so it’s hard to imagine them suddenly turning the culture around and rebounding after a tough start.

Crosby is under contract through 2026, so Las Vegas does not have to be in any rush to deal him, but it would be able to bring in a pretty nice haul for him if it decides to field trade offers for the star pass rusher. Or, Crosby could ultimately get fed up and demand a trade, which is what some are hoping he will do.

Dallas could send a 2024 first-round draft pick to Vegas in exchange for Crosby, which would give the Raiders a nice asset toward a potential rebuild (or a retooling of the roster) this coming offseason.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys would add a terrific pass rusher to a front seven that already includes Micah Parsons. Talk about a scary duo.

Through four games this season, Maxx Crosby has already logged 23 tackles and four sacks. The 26-year-old is coming off of back-to-back Pro Bowl appearances and racked up a career-high 12.5 sacks last year.
