Could the Denver Broncos finally find a match for wide receiver Jerry Jeudy in the Carolina Panthers?

Jeudy’s named has been mentioned in trade rumors dating back to last offseason. The Broncos ultimately held on to him through the Oct. 31 NFL trade deadline, but with the wide out entering the final year of his rookie deal, there are rumblings that Denver could move him this offseason.

Bleacher Report’s NFL Scouting Department suggests that the Broncos should try to trade Jeudy to the Panthers in exchange for cornerback Jaycee Horn and a 2025 fourth-round draft pick.

Here, Denver would save some cap space by trading Jeudy and would acquire a talented young cornerback to put alongside of Patrick Surtain II. Meanwhile, Carolina would land a decent young receiver to help make things easier for quarterback Bryce Young, who will be entering his sophomore campaign.

Jeudy played in 16 games this season, catching 54 passes for 758 yards and a couple of touchdowns.

The 24-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Alabama, was selected by the Broncos with the 15th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft.

He enjoyed an impressive rookie year, registering 52 catches for 856 yards and three scores. Injuries then limited him to 10 games in 2021, and in 2022, he hauled in 67 receptions for 972 yards while reaching the end zone six times in what has been his most productive season to date.

Clearly, Jeudy took a rather big step back this past year, so Denver potentially wanting to move him is entirely understandable.

Meanwhile, injuries derailed Horn’s 2023 campaign, as he played in just six contests. However, last year, Horn appeared in 13 games and recorded a solid 53 tackles, three interceptions and seven passes defended.

Also a former first-round pick, Horn has struggled to find his footing in the NFL due to a consistent injury issues. In three seasons, he has played in a grand total of 22 games.

Perhaps a change of scenery would do both Jeudy and Horn some good.
